Should buy if you really interested within the software aspect of statistical strategies which everybody should.

We used this as our primary textbook in a graduate psychology / shopper behavior analysis strategies / knowledge analyis class, and I discovered it to be a useful assist in statistical analysis. From easy measures akin to z-scores, t-assessments & f-tests, and chi-squares, to more in depth strategies comparable to GLM, ANOVA, and regression, this e book is obvious and concise. Whereas it may be barely cursory at times as to the theoretical underpinnings underneath the data analysis strategies being used, it is a very helpful e book in understanding the best way to actually make the strategies work, and more importantly, knowing which technique to use through which situation.

Until Prof. Lattin releases his statistical analysis guide for behavioral students, Ott's ebook is the 1 stat useful resource on my bookshelf.
